Our Story
Andrew Cannon is an Evangelist born and raised in Liverpool, UK. The hand of God radically touched him in January 2010 when he called up on the name of Jesus. His life was full of destruction and addictions, alcohol, drugs and self-harming.
It was on Andrews very first encounter with the love and power of Jesus that he was transformed. He was completely and instantly set free, his life of destruction and the chains of the enemy were broken off. He now lives a life sold out for Jesus, Andrew has lead 1000’s to the Lord through the love, truth and compassion of Christ and encourages believers to do the same in their everyday life.
He has been called by God into the office of an Evangelist and has wasted no time in unashamedly sharing his faith in Jesus to all he comes across in his walk, whether that’s at a Stadium event, a conference or on the streets where Andrew feels right at home introducing people to the Lord.
Andrew met his wife Jennifer in church, in his first year of new life with Jesus, they married in 2012 and have ran with Jesus together ever since, encouraging all they come across to do the same. They believe the radical first encounter Andrew had with Jesus is available to ALL and want to see people set free.
Andrew worked for a car manufacturing plant for the first seven years of his new life in Jesus, he preached the gospel daily to his colleagues proclaiming the Kingdom of God is at hand, seeing God confirm His Word with signs and wonders. Whilst using his weekends and annual leave for ministering within the body of Christ he has since been called by God to step out from his employment, fully committing his diary to the Lord. He now travels extensively throughout the UK and Europe and sees the body of Christ empowered, activated and released into reaching the lost in their community. He is also used mightily by The Lord with words of knowledge, healing and deliverance.
The name Gospel Grenades was born from a dream Andrew had, he was walking through a war-torn city, gangs of people where on street corners plotting destruction. Andrew looked down and the Lord had placed grenades into both his hands, it seemed strange to him but he felt Jesus tell him to throw them into the crowds. Once thrown the grenades exploded in the centre of the crowds with adverse effects, instead of bringing destruction, the explosions brought REVIVAL, PEACE, JOY, LOVE, UNITY, GROWTH, KINDNESS, FAITH, RECONCILIATION. We believe the core of our ministry is to bring to the world a ‘Good News Explosion’ preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere we go, using the world for His platform. Whilst travelling through an airport a couple of weeks later Andrew was surprisingly stopped by airport security, they swabbed his hands and found explosives, having not been in contact with any kind of explosive material, Andrew and Jennifer felt this was confirmation in naming their ministry, Glory to God!
What we believe
GOD
We believe in the one true God, who resides in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
THE BIBLE
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and conduct.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are the inspired word of God and therefore is the revelation of God to man. ( 1 Thessalonians 2:13, John 3:16)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His blood shed on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15)
HOLY SPIRIT AND BAPTISM
We believe in the ministry of Holy Spirit who is as alive and active today as He was on the day of Pentecost, He enables the Christian to live a Godly life and have a supernatural ministry. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is poured out on believers that they might have power to be His witnesses. (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:4)
REPENTANCE
We believe there is no restoration without repentance, God and His goodness leads man unto repentance (Romans 2:4)
NEW LIFE / BORN AGAIN
We believe no matter how far you feel from the love and presence of God, you are only one choice and decision from being born again into an eternal life. The good news is that Jesus came to save us all, no matter what you have done in the past, you can be saved right NOW! (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 14:6)
HEALING
We truly believe healing is for today, the finished works of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (1 Peter 2:24)
UNITY
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity (Psalm 133:1, 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23)
EVANGELISM
We believe that every believer should share their faith with all people, proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Andrews Ministry is one that not only equips the Church into living a life of evangelism, but also encourages and provokes believers and Churches to come together in the last days harvest. Gospel Grenades as a ministry travels worldwide seeing a “Good News Explosion” everywhere they go, bringing power, love, truth and freedom that comes with a life in Christ.
Something that provokes Andrew, is a vision his wife Jennifer had from the Lord during a 12hr night of prayer in 2016. She saw the whole island of the UK from above and could see the thousands of miles of underground infrastructure (tunnels & pipes). The precious blood of the Lamb was rushing fully through these tunnels & pipes at an accelerated speed, almost on fast forward. The blood was literally washing the ground and the very essence of the UK. Not a spot was missed!! Jennifer felt the people of the UK are walking on Holy ground and they don’t know it!
She felt God was and is honouring the prayers of the saints and they were moving the Father to action and had the word ‘Acceleration’. We believe we are in a time of acceleration and these days are hugely significant.
The vision of Gospel Grenades is to see revival in and through the body of Christ, we see this happening when the church work together, together we are better, in unity we are stronger.
